Not tonight.
But it could have been. Easily.

This is how it will happen
Amanda - I feel as though using the crow somehow would be fitting... as well as letting Todd watch helpless.
Sam - I will tie her up and throw her into the East Wing, since she seems to be so fond of the place. Maybe, when I burn this house to the ground, something exciting will happen to her. Or not, but she'll be there forever.
Steele - I will make the prideful bastard swallow every pill in the house hold. In his drunken stupor, I will send him off, give him a good running start. Then the hunt will begin. He's the only one I wish to give a fighting chance.
August - I will make August drink bleach. As much as I can find. Or maybe just stick his head in a bucket of it, too make it faster.
Doc - I will take her scalpel, and I will play the game of "How many pieces can I lop off before she dies?"
Spencer - Spencer will be my masterpiece. I will sew his eyes, his ears, remove the teeth, the tongue, the limbs. Let him know, what it is like, to be trapped. Perhaps I will dress him in a suit.

Maybe Todd will get arrested for all this. And the cop who arrests him will catch The Man. And all of his prisoners will catch The Man. And all their families. It will be the most elegant disease. If there is one thing I envy about Him, it's his communicability.

I want that. I want to attach to people; spread, as it were. I've been living too long in just one brain.

Can I not stop myself from typing? Never mind. They will merely think it's Todd going insane.

...Shit. If only streams of consciousness had backspace keys.

  1. ohhherrrrr, ominous.
And cute. I'll by /your/ masterpiece? FSHWAAAA. My ugly mug isn't anything worth fawning about.

Though if you ever threaten my team again, I will use every goddamn /inch/ of my power against you.

... not surprising, though. Todd, meet in the kitchen. I'm not angry, but I'm going to do what I can, alright?

You seem to need the help.

okay. Okay. I am seriously thinking about getting the fuck out of this house but that would never work so I'll probably just go into hiding for a while.

  3. No. Hell no. Hell fucking no. You don't threaten my crow, you don't threaten me, and you don't threaten my dysfunctional, shitty semblance of a family.

Who ever the fuck you are, you have an appointment with my ax.

    /And get out of Todd/

  4. Spencer, I think it's funny you'd believe I'm still in the house.

  5. Then keep running, you foxy lady. I don't know about my compatriots, but I for one am starting to get the tiniest hint of an inclination that you may, indeed, be a liability to us. Whoever you think you are, that is.

Spence, I'm taking a quick leave of absence to go track down our friend(s).

Doc, remember that horse tranquillizer or whatever you stuck me with back when I last tried to play the hero?

I'm taking it all. You'd better keep your chop shop clean.

Yeah, who am I kidding. I'm going to get drunk and then try not to get too annoyed when I have to save your sorry asses and hopefully I won't fall down the stairs.

Have fun, kiddies. If any of you die it's coming out of your paycheque.

  8. "Let him talk," said Dupin, who had not thought it necessary to reply. "Let him discourse; it will ease his conscience."

  9. Aha, the good ol' Edgar Allan. I'd almost be impressed, aside from the fact that I haven't slept in god knows how long and you may or may not be encouraging me to go talk with a psychopath.

TL;DR, I really need to sleep and, Raven, you can keep your creepy literature with no clear context to yourself.

  10. Let us hear the suspicions. I will look after the proofs.

It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts.

"Data! Data! Data!" he cried impatiently. "I can't make bricks without clay."

  12. Ben:
Ideas are more difficult to kill than people, but they can be killed, in the end.

All we have to believe with is our senses, the tools we use to perceive the world: our sight, our touch, our memory. If they lie to us, then nothing can be trusted.

  13. Well, quotes from existing pieces of literature are sort of refreshing.

(Waiting for Steele. Slower then I expected. Of COURSE Spencer would send his lackeys out in his stead... Coward.)
