~Steele~ “Brother.”

So Spence, you’ve made your decision, huh? You chose a goddamn proxy, a goddamn, fucking, no name proxy who had been sent to MURDER US, over the woman you started all of this with. She who stood by you, she who you protected, she who protected YOU.

She who wanted to save you. And how do you thank her? Ruining her work, and ruining her.

“Brother.” Pff.

What are we to you now, brother? What are we, your Household, to you anymore? What was Doc? What was August? What is Todd, what is Amanda? What is Sam?

What am I? Not a brother, not anymore. I truly wish it could be how it was, us as brothers in arms, partners in crime, cogs in our organization: but I don’t think we’re in sync anymore. Hell, I don’t think we’re even in the same machine.

I’ve got work to do, so I won’t be Home much, except to check up on the team. Don’t bother paying me for it; I’m sure you’ll thank me later for my efforts.

If you’re still around.

In a thanking state.

And us in a thanking relationship.

Like we used to be.

I’ll keep going, I’ll always keep going, to protect Sam and Amanda, to save Doc and Todd, to avenge August…and you.

Until then, stay the fuck out of my way.

  1. The fact that I agree with Steele worries me. Watch this comment thread completely derail and become drama central. How many times has this happened so far?

    1. I am tired of drama.
People bickering about different points of view.
It feels pitiful given the circumstances.

    2. I think most of the things that have happened lately have been pitiful, bar a wedding and a funeral.

    3. I think I might agree with steele too if I may throw my two cents in.

  2. It's all off the rails now, isn't it?

  3. He walked in on his best friend vivisecting another human being and you wonder why he freaked? Did you think he would approve? Did you pause to consider that perhaps Doc wasn't in the right state of mind? Or perhaps that nobody, after such a tragedy, would be in the right state of mind?

It is instinct, after a friend has died, to find and hurt someone whom you can blame. But we can rise above our baser instincts and make ourselves better than our enemy. We can grant them mercy, even if that mercy is just a quick death.

    1. I've always found it so curious that people state violence is an instinct. It makes me wonder what it's like inside other people's minds. If my instinctive response to conflict from birth was 'punch his face in', it'd make things so much easier. Much less moral revulsion to worry about.

No, violence is a learned behaviour according to necessity. You get hit?

Eventually, you learn to hit back.

  4. Yeah, ya know, it's real cute how you're sitting there with your rage boner, stroking your vendetta, thinking you're gonna go out like Sam fucking Winchester and rapemurder every fuck random proxy you can get your hands on and everything and everybody is just gonna be totally cool with that. So when we get the report from one of the SMART PEOPLE like Writer or Nightscream or whoever about you walking blind right into their trap and about how your empty skull is now laying atop the pile of bodies you left in your wake and how you realistically accomplished sweet fuck all with this little rampage of yours, then yeah, I'm not going to feel sorry for your dumb ass at all. Good luck with that asshat.

    1. ....you're handing MLP ponies to the Slender Man, and you're saying that STEELE is being suicidal?

Yeah. That totally doesn't sound hypocritical.

    2. In his defense, by the time he got to the pony thing he had just finished a far stupider stunt involving a super soaker.

    3. Geebus, I knew someone would bring that up. Is this what I have to look forward to every time I try to say something serious now? There's a very clear difference, you know, between taking a calculated risk with something stupid and walking blindly into a fight to the death.

    4. Yes. Because you're memorable. At least you won't be forgotten any time soon.

    5. Thank you for your contribution, cunt. I'll be sure to pass on your wise words to someone who gives a fuck about people who have nothing to give but their own two cents.

You read a blog, and suddenly you think you can know someone and make self-entitled accusations about how they live their life. You don't know me. Do you know ANYONE? Do you know what it's like to have everything, EVERYTHING taken from you, time and time again? And even knowing that, do you still try, time and time again, to keep a hold of what you have left? And even THEN, when you realise that you fucking can't, that everything you know, everything you love, is fucking transient...Do you have the stones to try and start again?

Try it sometime, when you're not running along rooftops and watching Doctor Who.

    6. You had my sympathy, Steele, until this comment. Then I realized something: you don't want help. You want your revenge and you don't care about anything else, not Doc, not Spencer, nobody.

You've had a bad life. To quote an expression: boo fucking hoo. This does not mean you can murder without impunity.

If you wish revenge without caring for the consequences, if you want to hurt but don't care whom you hurt, that does not make you righteous, that does not make you good.

      That just makes you broken.

    7. And you think you know me WITHOUT reading the blog. I don't take death lightly. I don't think that's a wise decision. I'm not some sort of lone gunslinger who's been running around the fucking continent shooting bitches 'cause I'm so goddamn edgy. People place their assumptions of who I am onto me, without even giving a damn about the substance of what I say, looking instead at how I say it. I say what I mean, and I don't bloody well tip-toe around what needs to be done. But I'm no killer.

And I haven't had a bad life. Life's all there fucking is. We prolong it or we perish. It's not about Them and Us, it's Life or Death and fuck you if you think I'm going to sit around on my arse waiting for the latter. We can't hold onto Life without taking action in this bitch of a situation we're placed in. If you hold that against me still? Then I'm done defending myself.

    8. And no, I don't want help.

But then again, who's been offering?

      Delete
    9. Life? Life is meaningless. It has no meaning except that which we impose on it. You seem hellbent on imposing your own deathwish.

I also didn't say you take death lightly. I said you wanted to hurt people and you didn't care who you hurt. There is a difference. For one, you want to hurt bad people, but you will inevitably end up hurting those who want to help you. Believe me on this.

You are broken. And what you are doing will only break you more.

    10. Doctor Who..? Seriously? Maybe you shouldn't be calling people ugly names if you can't even stand to look in the mirror. Good luck with that crusade of yours. That always works SO WELL for everyone else that tries that schtick.

    11. No, love, I know exactly who I want to hurt. He's got a fake name, red hair, a bitch face and wants...well, whatever he wants, apparently he needs to kill us to get it. Kindly stop making these wild accusations, calling me broken and treating me like an invalid.

...Y'know, Elaine DID offer help, didn't she?

      Delete
    12. I did at that. And I know someone who can get us past his loop bullshit, though you'd have to pull the stick out of your ass.

  5. ...This is fucking pathetic.
